Levi Albert Lloyd Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Monday, May 7, 2012 at 12:00 a.m. for Levi Albert Lloyd, 91 who died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Southwest LA War Veteran Home in Jennings, LA. Interment will be in the Our Lady of Good Harbor, Buras, LA. Surviving are devoted and loving caregivers niece, Jennifer Daigle Meche and husband Donnie Meche of Rayne, LA, sister-in-law, Elaine Mistich, sister-in-law, Elthlyn Mistich Smith, sister-in-law, Hazel Mistich Bishop, niece, Ada Sue Morris Edwards, nephew, John Morris, nephew, Terry Morris, niece, Barbara Morris Davis, niece, Juanita Prater Davis, niece, Bernita Prater Lowery, nephew, Douglas Mistich, nephew, Peter Lynn Mistich, A host of Great Nieces and Newphews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine Mistich Lloyd, parents, Carrie Ipock Lloyd and William Albert Lloyd, step mother, Marie Taylor Lloyd, one son, Jimmy Lloyd, one sister, Violet Lloyd Morris, one brother, William Lee Lloyd. He was born Tuesday, January 18, 1921 in Beaufort, NC, Son of the late William Albert Lloyd and the late Carrie Ipock. Uncle Red was a resident of the War Veterans Home for almost two years. He was a model resident and was honored as Resident of the Month of March 2012, and was awarded the Louisiana Honor Medal. He was Employed by Plaquemines Parish Goverment until his retirement. His previous employment was with Chevron Oil for about three years, he owned and operated the Phillips 66 Service Station with his partner and good friend Paul Lott. He drove the ambulance for a time before working full time for Judge Perez. He was affliated with Civil Defense for many years and was instrumental in Hurricane Evacuaton Efforts. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Plaquemines Parish Goverment are invited to attend the wake at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Port Sulphur, LA. Monday, May 7, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m..
